Job Summary: The Onsite Linen Worker plays a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of the Linen Department at a customer's location. This position involves ensuring the efficient distribution of daily linen deliveries and maintaining effective communication with hospital staff.

Essential Responsibilities: As an Onsite Linen Worker, will be responsible for a range of tasks aimed at maintaining a seamless linen management process. Your contributions will include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing Departmental Exchange Carts: Collaborate with the team to assemble exchange carts based on departmental needs, ensuring a steady supply of clean and appropriate linens.

  • Linen Orders and Inventory Management: Take charge of preparing, reviewing, and placing linen orders. Maintain accurate records by logging linen distribution and inventory details into the designated software program. Generate and analyze linen distribution reports to optimize efficiency.

  • Loading and Unloading Linen Carts: Safely load and unload linen carts, ensuring that all linens are appropriately sorted and organized.

  • Stocking Shelves or Carts: Maintain well-organized linen storage by restocking shelves and carts as needed, ensuring linens are easily accessible for distribution.

  • Effective Communication: Foster open lines of communication with hospital staff to ensure their linen needs are met promptly and efficiently. Respond to queries and address concerns promptly.

  • Adherence to Standards: Uphold established guidelines and best practices related to linen management, infection control, and safety protocols.

  • Collaborative Teamwork: Work in coordination with colleagues to contribute to a harmonious and efficient work environment.

  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Be prepared to take on various duties as assigned, contributing to the smooth functioning of the Linen Department.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Effective communication abilities.

  • Ability to lift and move linen carts and bundles.

  • Capacity to work independently and within a team.

  • Basic computer literacy for software-related tasks.

  • Previous experience in linen management or similar roles (a plus).
