JOB SUMMARY:
Provide administrative support to all areas of hotel service including General Manager, Front Office staff, Maintenance, Laundry, and Restaurant. Incorporates knowledge of all areas of hotel operations, vendor liaison, personnel advocate and accounting of cash, daily profit & loss, budget, actual expenses, and payroll. Demonstrates customer and associate services on the work site and in the community.
MAJOR/KEY JOB FUNCTIONS (includes but is not limited to):
- Transmitting daily figures to key management personnel.
- Daily monitoring, control, and accounting of on-site cash.
- Daily bank deposits.
- Authorizing and accounting of direct bill customers including approval, set up, billing, collections and receipts.
- Daily accounting of income and room revenue and room-related expenses.
- Record retention of daily sales documents and compiling month-end data.
- Accounting for all accounts payable, maintaining vendor files and recording all invoices.
- Completing all necessary pre-employment paperwork.
- Completion and explanation of all new hire paperwork. Scan all new hire paperwork and accounting for record retention.
- Completion of bi-weekly payroll accounting and distribution of payments.
- Participate in staff meetings.
- Complete all accounting deadlines regardless of day of the week or time of day.
- Participant in community activities that are and are not supported by Holiday Inn.
- Resolve problems as they arise in a professional manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School GED or Equivalent
- Minimum 1-year relevant experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stopping as well as stand, sit and/or walk for any extended period.
- The hotel operates 24 hours a day, 7 days per week and any time it may be necessary to move associates from their accustomed shift as business demands.
