Position Overview: Your primary focus as the NPI Manufacturing Engineer will be on standardizing and enhancing processes to optimize efficiency and solve assembly-specific challenges. You'll contribute to daily operations, effectiveness, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of customer designs.

Responsibilities:

  • Innovative Process Development: Spearhead the development of robust, error-proofed, and streamlined manufacturing processes while ensuring compliance with customer and company standards.
  • New Product Introductions (NPI): Possess an understanding of engineering principles to include developing, qualifying, and implementing new production processes within a manufacturing environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive improvement initiatives by analyzing performance data, aiming to enhance quality, reduce costs, and streamline delivery processes.
  • Operational Support: Provide crucial support to daily production, ensuring the achievement of production targets while reviewing and implementing customer Product Change Notices.
  • Documentation and Training: Prepare comprehensive documentation including Equipment Work Instructions and detailed reports. Offer training and guidance to engineers, technicians, and operators as needed.
  • Quality and Compliance: Support adherence to the Quality Management System, maintaining a focus on creating a safe, ergonomic, and environmentally responsible workplace. Ensure compliance with ITAR regulations.
  • Collaboration and Development: Engage in New Product Introduction (NPI) launch activities, contribute to site capabilities roadmap development, and attend relevant industry conferences, seminars, and training sessions.

Education and Experience for the NPI Manufacturing Engineer:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related Engineering discipline is required. Lean and/or Six Sigma Certification is preferred. SMTA Certified Process Engineer is a plus.
  • Experience: Solid process engineering background in the printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) industry, preferably within high-reliability environments. Proven experience with various component types and processes including SMT, Thru-hole, Press Fit, Solder Rework, and more. Familiarity with RoHS, IPC-610, and J-STD-001 workmanship standards is essential.
  • Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong analytical and communication skills, leadership capabilities, and a proactive "Can-Do" attitude.
