Position: Seasonal Groundskeeper – NOW THRU NOVEMBER (depending on the weather)

Location: The Grove by the River – 840 Hollander St. Newark, OH 43055

Pay: $13.00/hr.

Schedule: Monday thru Friday Up to 40 hrs. week

Hours of Operation: 7:00 am to 7;00 pm

Licking Knox Goodwill Industries Inc. is currently accepting applications for a Groundskeeper.

As a Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for the general maintenance and campground operations at The Grove by the River. Duties include but are not limited to: Maintain lawn utilizing riding mower, walk-behind propelled mower, string trimmer, hedge trimmer, power edger & power blower. Measure, mix & apply fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides using automatic sprayer or spreader. Gather & dispose of litter. Inspect facilities and equipment, schedule repairs as needed. Perform repairs and maintenance, including plumbing & light electrical work. Properly maintain tools, supplies, and equipment in the work area. Perform snow removal as appropriate. Cooperate in a rotating schedule to maintain the cleanliness of grounds. This would include the property, bathhouse, restrooms, cabin, tents, and camper.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Employer conducts pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• A Valid Ohio Driver License is preferred but not required.
• Customer Service Skills are Required.
• Work without direct supervision.
• Meet standard and specialized training requirements.
• Maintain Accurate records.
• Stand for 4 hours with a break.
• Have the physical ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, twist, stoop, squat, and reach as required to complete the job. Be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
