Evara Health is looking for a Systems Support Specialist to maintain computing environment by identifying systems/server/application requirements, installing upgrades, monitoring system/application performance and providing user support.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintains systems performance by performing monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting problems; escalating problems
- Secures systems by developing appropriate access, monitoring, control and evaluation; maintaining a disaster recovery plan; maintaining relevant, required documentation
- Implements/Upgrades systems and related applications by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements
- Maintains on-site/cloud servers and related applications
- Keeps job knowledge current by participating in educational opportunities; reads professional publications; maintains personal networks; participates in professional organizations
- Protects the organization by keeping all information confidential
- Takes ownership for goals assigned and for their timely completion
- Leads and/or participates in projects to evaluate and implement new technologies
- Responds to Help Desk email/phone user requests for assistance utilizing ticket system
- Performs additional miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
- Strictly adheres to all Evara Health, HIPAA, HRSA, State, Federal and accreditation agency rules and regulations
Minimum Qualifications:
- Technical acuity and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively multi-task
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Project management skills
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in computer science or related degree preferred
- Experience in systems/server design, implementation and maintenance
- Experience managing cloud-based applications
- LAN/WAN/Wireless knowledge
Licenses, Certifications or Registration:
- Microsoft, Comp TIA A+ or comparable certifications preferred
