$25-$45 Per Hour

We are currently recruiting for visual art teachers for kids, teens and adults for weekday afternoons and weekends in our Port Jefferson school location. Our teachers create WOW moments for our students in small, intimate studio classroom settings. One River Teachers are engaged, enthusiastic, empathetic and educated in visual arts techniques.

Our classes typically start at 3:30pm so it is a great opportunity for public and private school art teachers and current art students in graduate programs to earn extra money doing what they love. After onboarding you can expect to teach 2 or more classes per day for 2-3 days per week.

Our curriculum is created centrally so there is minimal prep required and all tools, equipment and supplies are provided. Most of our teachers work onsite at our Englewood school location but we also have travel teacher opportunities for people who are willing to deliver our curriculum in after school programs in local schools on Long Island. Our teachers also get the chance to teach at our Summer Camp program that runs from June to August.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience as a lead visual arts teacher
• BFA or BS Art Education (MFA or MEd a plus)
• Engaging and mindful
• Inspiring and approachable
• A passion for One River School's mission
• Must live within easy commutable distance from Port Jefferson

You will teach one or more of a variety of proprietary classes that include the following subjects:

Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Mixed media, Cartooning, Manga, Digital Art,Animation, Design, Street Art…….and more.
