Heinold and Feller Tire Company Inc. has been keeping residents of Northwest Indiana driving safer vehicles and mowing their lawns efficiently since 1958! They provide ASE Master Certified full service auto repair on about all makes and models of vehicles. They have state of the art equipment to efficiently handle their customers vehicle needs. They offer the highest quality tire brands and most innovative lawn equipment brands in the industry. They also service everything they sell, from tires, all types of outdoor power and lawn equipment along with UTVs and Go-Karts Some of their brands are Firestone, Bridgestone, Fuzion, Michelin, Mastercraft and Goodyear tires. They carry Toro, Ferris, Bad Boy, Big Dog and a full line of Husqvarna products. They have Hammerhead Go-Karts & UTVs. Heinold & Feller stocks quality AC Delco, and Motorcraft auto repair parts.
The idea for Heinold & Feller Tire Co. began over a cup of coffee and a donut when Ray Heinold and Lynn Feller discussed the fact that Valparaiso needed a tire store. They decided to join together as business partners in such an endeavor and they opened the new business in March of 1958. Brother-in-laws, Ray and Lynn were farm boys and they had a lot to learn about the tire and lawn equipment business. When they first opened in March of 1958 they sold Firestone tires and provided basic auto repair services. They offered road service and in the field farm tire service. They also handled white goods, radios, TVs, appliances, toys, swing-sets, lawn mowers and bicycles. Many of these items were even branded with the Firestone brand at that time. The offerings at Heinold and Feller have changed. Gone are the toys and bikes and appliances, but the lawn equipment business is still strong. Today some of the nostalgic items sold during the early days of Heinold & Feller are on display in the Valparaiso location showroom. Since those days the family business has been blessed and has grown from a 3 bay to a 14 bay auto repair facility. Lawn equipment is serviced in 4 separate bays by highly skilled small engine techs.
Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service to customers needing tires, auto repairs and preventative maintenance on their vehicles.
All Service Writers and Sales professionals must be knowledgeable about customer's car care needs and tire options. Provide timely service, great communication with a high level of integrity in a fast paced environment.
Must care about the customer and the customer's satisfaction and safety.
Need to be proficient with windows based programs and able to use or quickly learn a digital parts look up system.
Need to be able to keep up to date with the automotive repair and tire industry through online training modules.
Be able to work Monday through Saturday hours.
Must be able to pay attention to detail and keep paperwork current daily.
Must be able to get along well with fellow employees and work well as a team.
Must be positive and professional and have a strong work ethic.
