Job Description

Summary:

The Maintenance Coordinator is primarily responsible for supervising, organizing, directing, and coordinating maintenance processes and maximizing efficiency and effectiveness to ensure a safe working environment. In this role you will provide administrative support to the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Technicians so that maintenance and engineering work orders are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Must have verifiable experience using CMMS software (IndySoft, Plex, Emaint, MaintainX, etc.).

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all maintenance work to properly maintain all industrial manufacturing and processing machinery owned by Chemence.
  • Evaluate maintenance Work Requests, set priorities, and process Work Orders through CMMS.
  • Utilizes and ensures accuracy of CMMS, inventory, approved supplier, and asset repair costs.
  • Handles purchasing of all spare parts, equipment, and other maintenance items such as cleaning supplies, PPE, etc. while adhering to budget requirements.
  • Establishes and maintains a reliable network of outside vendors and suppliers to ensure cost effective and timely support of the maintenance function.
  • Performs routine inspections of all systems and equipment.
  • Performs routine repair work and other work of a general maintenance nature.
  • Plans, organizes, staffs, directs, and controls the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance department.
  • Establishes and communicates the level of quality and safety expected in the performance of maintenance tasks.
  • Manages submitted work orders and communicates with Maintenance staff and other internal departments
  • Enforces sound safety and housekeeping practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education, and/or Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role in an industrial manufacturing facility.
  • Automated machine maintenance and troubleshooting experience is a plus.
  • Must have a positive attitude and possess the ability to multitask and work well with others.
  • Excellent analytical and reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills required.
  • Previous applicable work experience a plus.

Language Skills:

  • English required; Spanish is a plus.

Physical Demands:

  • Position requires walking, standing for prolonged periods, occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. May frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

  • Non-temperature-controlled warehouse, non-temperature-controlled production floor, temperature-controlled office.
