Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance and Accounting team. This role will report directly to the Director - Financial Planning and Analysis and be based in Columbus. We are looking for a self-motivated, problem solver with a mind for continuous improvement and the ability to take a project and run with it. The ideal candidate will be eager to quickly make a contribution, and grow their career where there is big-company learning exposure in a home-town atmosphere.

THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain reports to show performance against budget and company trends

  • Support annual budget and monthly forecast process

  • Perform analysis of actual spending and projections of future spending demonstrating a strong understanding of actual results and monthly forecast updates

  • Collaborate with department leaders on expense management and optimization

  • Perform Ad Hoc analysis and projects as needed to support operational decision making

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 3-5 years of budgeting and financial analysis experience. Retail industry experience preferred

  • Advance Microsoft Excel skills

  • Prior experience with new software implementation a plus

  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Dedicated to improving processes

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
