The Opportunity

As an Customer Support Specialist on the Employer Services team, you will focus on workers' compensation and occupational health. This includes coordinating care, managing work injury visits, addressing requests involving employers, insurance carriers and urgent matters related to workers' compensation and occupational health.

Your Impact

  • Customer Service:
    • Provide high customer service to all accounts, including prompt responses and resolving issues.
    • Manage the full life cycle of the work injury cases, from overseeing the data and accuracy entered by the front desk and clinical team to billing for the visit until the case is closed
    • Billing Workers Comp & Occupational Health visits, including new and outstanding payments. Records Requests.
    • Setting up new accounts and updating existing accounts in the directory while ensuring the accuracy of the information is correct in all systems.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Review worker compensation documentation for completeness and accuracy; provide feedback to providers as necessary
    • Track all worker compensation cases that require follow-up, assist providers and practice managers in developing treatment plans, ensure treatment plans are communicated to patients, employers and case managers, and track patient progress until patient is returned to full-duty or referred to a specialist.
    • Act as a liaison between the provider and the outside parties: case manager, adjuster and employer.
    • Keep knowledge of occupational health and worker injury law, and "best practices" in the industry.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Assisting with any projects relating to the Employer Services department

Who You Are

  • Exceptional customer service: Strong focus on customer service with key account managers and executives.
  • Ability to problem solve & work in a fast-paced environment: Extremely well organized, high attention to details and ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks at the same time. Willingness to help with data entry and working off a prioritized checklist.
  • Driven and self-motivated: Ability to work independently, possess a level of initiative and enthusiasm to help drive results
  • Effective communicator (written and verbal) and cross collaborator: Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with team members and stakeholders across the organization
  • Technically savvy: Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Excel as well as Adobe PDF.
  • Availability: Work in our Portsmouth, NH office Monday through Friday.
