Role

SoFi is looking for a creative and versatile writer to develop a broad range of educational content for our internal Creative Studio.

You're an experienced editorial expert who can rapidly ramp up on any financial topic and translate it into compelling, educational copy across multiple formats. Your primary role will be to develop educational content on an array of financial topics for publication on the web and in newsletters.

You will join a dedicated, hard-working creative team, comprising writers, editors, content strategists, and creatives. Our mission is to help people get their money right by providing compelling financial education content across various formats.

What you'll do

  • Take a conceptual brief and turn it into a copy that's clear, authoritative, and compelling.
  • Develop educational content across multiple formats including email, print, and web.
  • Translate relevant news stories into actionable personal finance guidance.
  • Research financial topics - using both internal and external sources - to rapidly develop expertise.
  • Use project objectives and business goals to inform the editorial approach.
  • Manage multiple projects and workflows independently.
  • Understand the mission and find the answers
  • Exhibit a strong sense of ownership.

Who you are

  • 3+ years of professional experience in journalism, communications, or copywriting.
  • Dedicated to delivering obsessively-revised, highly-polished copy.
  • Capacity to understand complex business and project objectives and requirements.
  • Exceptional program management, project management, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Collaborative posture with experience partnering with cross-functional partners.
  • Strategically minded, strong problem-solving skills, fervent attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in English or Journalism.

How this will work

Candidates will be asked to complete a sample assignment that will provide an opportunity to showcase creativity and writing skills across several topics and formats.

Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and location.
