We are now hiring a Director of Facilities to join our executive team at our corporate office in Towson, MD.

Summary:

The Director of Facilities is responsible for overseeing facilities maintenance, and systems at all company owned and managed assets; approximately 65 properties across 5 states and growing!  Developing and implementing strategies to ensure that all locations are maintained and functioning properly and efficiently will be a top priority of the Director of Facilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Establishes and maintains department performance metrics and tools to ensure efficient execution of the maintenance support function
• Manages Service Request tickets and work order management, delegates work and tracks completion
• Reviews and approves estimates, purchase orders, invoices, pay apps on a daily basis
• Develops, implements and improves preventative and predictive maintenance programs and procedures
• Interacts with and monitors performance of outsourced vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications and verifies all work is completed to a satisfactory level
• Creates and oversees annual facilities site audits
• Establishes SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) for facility ticket system, spend thresholds, daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly tasks
• Reduces operating costs through the use of technology to improve maintenance, energy management and sustainability
• Provides support during company development activities including acquisitions, dispositions, remodels and new builds
• Sources appropriate vendors and trades in all regions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Travel:

• Company paid, 50%
• General office located in Towson, MD

Qualifications:

• Five years related prior experience as a Facilities Director or equivalent.
• CFM (Certified Facility Manager) preferred
• ProFM Certification required
• Outstanding leadership and management skills, particularly as it relates to building teams, working through others, promoting collaboration, managing conflict, goal setting and holding people accountable
• Knowledge of building management systems and work order software
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to quickly identify and resolve problems
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent PC skills (Excel, Word) and internet online reporting; skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports and responding to correspondence.
• Working as part of a full team but able to remain independently motivated
• Ability to provide leadership and vision to the Director of Real Estate
• Must have positive interpersonal skills to work professionally with staff and have experience establishing effective and collaborative relationships.
• Ability to interact with a broad range of stakeholders with different interests and needs
• Work under limited supervision with some travel required
• Ability to effectively and efficiently prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
