Job Description

We are looking for Payroll Manager for our GROWING client in the insurance claims industry. Our client is expanding their Accounting and Finance teams, and are looking for someone to oversee and take lead in the Payroll department. This individual must be self driven, curious, and willing to work with leadership to contribute to the company's overall health and success. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-5pm.

This will be a HYBRID role. MUST reside in the Tampa Bay Area.

Compensation: $75,000-$80,000 + Benefits.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage, prepare, and process biweekly payroll for W2 and 1099 employees.
  • Collect and verify ADP time and attendance records for all employees.
  • Ensure accuracy of time and attendance records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Monitor weekly overtime and address any issues.
  • Review and process payroll change forms according to the payroll schedule.
  • Verify HRIS-generated payroll tax forms and filings.
  • Update employee tax filings and direct deposits as needed.
  • Lead quarterly and annual audits, including Form 941 audits.
  • Process wage garnishments accurately and timely.
  • Audit and reconcile benefit invoices.
  • Investigate and resolve any payroll discrepancies.
  • Communicate with employees regarding payroll discrepancies or changes.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports, collaborating with managers and senior leaders.
  • Conduct weekly audits of all Payroll Change Requests, New Hires, Benefit deductions, and Terminations using the HRIS audit report.
  • Manage the weekly mailing of employee checks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience processing payroll in multiple states.
  • Experience reconciling benefit bills.
  • Experience reconciling payroll with commission and bonus reports.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with ADP Payroll is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
