Job Title: Special Education Teacher
Location: Austin, TX
Job Description: Blazer Jobs is collaborating with schools in Austin, TX, to recruit a qualified Special Education Teacher who is passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs. Join our team and contribute to creating inclusive and supportive educational environments where all students can thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Modify curriculum materials and instructional strategies to meet the unique needs of each student
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure students' academic and social-emotional success
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Texas teaching certification in Special Education
- Familiarity with state and federal special education laws and regulations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
