Material Coordinator, Aftermarket Parts & Service, Kohler Home Energy

Work Mode: Onsite

Location:  Onsite at Kohler Energy - Hattiesburg, MS 

Opportunity

Under the supervision of the Manager, Business Development, Residential Generators and Materials Manager, Hattiesburg, administer the Residential Aftermarket Parts Department policies to consistently achieve desired service levels. Communicate directly with suppliers to expedite parts and obtain prices, availability, and order status to consistently achieve Customer delivery metrics.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Execute the decisions from AMPS Team Meetings.
  • Expedite parts needed to complete customer orders.
  • Review stocking levels on parts to handle upcoming promotions, service bulletins and/or safety stock levels.
  • Coordinate with AMPS Sales Coordinators to help execute emergency part requests.
  • Coordinate stock transfer orders to meet customer order date requirements.
  • Create stock transfer orders to move products between Production (GH and EH) and Warehouse (GPS) facilities.
  • Facilitate daily conversation with schedulers to ensure timely delivery of products to end customers and/or warehouse.
  • Maintain and analyze the Production order and stock transfer report for all parts and publish results to manufacturing management.
  • Maintain database of open stock transfer orders.
  • Maintain metric to validate on-time delivery of stock transfer orders.
  • Publish results of on-time delivery metric to AMPS
  • Maintain Purchasing Reports
  • Analyze open purchase order report and work with vendor on orders that are past due.
  • Analyze blocked purchase order report and help solve issues regarding invoicing and quantity receipts causing the order to be on block status.
  • Service Parts Shipping/Receiving Coordination
  • Assist receiving personnel on overages/shortages on purchase order deliveries.
  • Assist shipping/receiving personnel on identifying parts that are not labeled correctly.
  • Assist shipping/receiving and/or production personnel on quality issues regarding service parts and identify root cause of quality issue.
  • Assist Materials Manager, on special projects and initiatives as required.

Skills/Requirements

  • Associate degree or knowledge of materials/production scheduling, and/or warehousing and logistics, and/or production control preferred. Prior material management experience in a global manufacturing environment is preferred.  Experience within the Generator Division is a plus. SAP experience is a plus.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as required. 
  • Candidate should be a professional with a passion for Aftermarket Part and Service growth.  Must be proactive, have a positive attitude, be goal driven, and have an analytical mind.  Strong problem-solving skills, research capabilities, and ability to multi-task in a high energy environment, are necessary to be successful in this role.
  • Experience with typical software tools such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Visio, and other digital communication and presentation tools strongly recommended.

The hourly range for this position is $18.90 - $23.65. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
