CNC Machinist - Earn $25+ per hour!

Grow great manufacturing experience with this CNC Machinist role! Doherty Staffing is partnering with a leading precision machining solutions company located in Blaine, MN. We are seeking candidates for CNC Machinist roles on the 1st shift. Hours for this shift are 6:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, and occasionally some Fridays. What the CNC Machinist will do:

• Revise programs to eliminate instruction errors or omissions
• Create standard drawings that include dimensions, tolerance, intricate details, auxiliary views, and projections from sketches, layouts, or engineering data
• Perform set-ups, runs, and checking first part and in many cases finish the production run
• Create CAD/CAM databases, CAD models, and CAM process models
• Create CNC programs for multitasking mill-turn machine tools and provide technical support to manufacturing personnel
• Ensure proper documentation and setup information for repeat runs
• Perform complex set-ups and various machining operations as required

What you need to be a CNC Machinist:

• 2+ year degree from a technical school or skill equivalent
• Experience with close tolerance precision machining
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Knowledge of machine programming, set-ups, and operation
• Experience in CAD/CAM and machining centers w/ Fanuc controls
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
• Ability to reach, squat, twist, rotate, and climb with or without reasonable accommodations
• Willingness to work in a tight space with frequently changing temperatures
