Service Technician Assistant - Full-time

The Grout Genie is looking for a Service Technician Assistant.  This position requires you to be in a supportive role and work one-on-one with your direct supervisor, as well as float to assist other technicians with larger projects, as needed.

Interested parties must be able to work 30 - 40+ hours per week.  Pay is $20 - $24 per hour to start.  Training and advancement opportunities available for individuals who have a serious interest in the tile trade.

Job Responsibilities:

• Load and unload tools, equipment and supplies in/out of work vehicles and residential job sites
• Maintain the project site to keep it organized and clean
• Run tools, materials and equipment back and forth, as needed
• Pick up orders from area suppliers, as needed
• Efficiently and timely execute tasks delegated by direct supervisor
• Maintain supply inventory
• Assist with holding / stabilizing materials when doing installations
• Learn various tools and equipment used in the field to efficiently assist in your support role
• An interest in learning the tile trade desired

• Be a U.S. citizen or have a valid work permit
• Fluent in English (Written and Verbal)
• Have a cell phone
• Stand, kneel, bend for extended periods of time
• Able to walk up and down stairs
• Able to lift up to 85 pounds
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Salary:

• $20 - $24 per hour to start

Required qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• 21+ years or older
• At least high school diploma or equivalent or higher
• Access to personal devices for work: smartphone - any type
• Construction skills: reading a tape measure
• Warehouse skills: loading and unloading trucks
• Able to work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures
• Able to stand for duration of shift
• Able to comfortably lift 80 lbs
• Available to work: weekdays
