Accounts Payable Specialist

Department Accounting

Assist with the insurance carrier accounts payable function for all locations' operations, including but not limited to:
• Reconciling billing statements
• Processing and making payments to insurance carriers for premiums owed by IMA clients
• Acts as a resource to internal teams on processes and guidelines to be followed, to ensure proper processing of carrier invoices
• Filing and other administrative tasks
• Communications with key internal and external stakeholders
• Process electronic payments
• Help with Accounting Department tasks as needed
• Interact professionally and timely with carriers via email and phone
• Perform functions of the role within an IMA office more than 50% of the time
• Support and demonstrate IMA's core values
• Value and understand the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates

• 2-5 years of similar or related experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Experiene with software systems Applied Epic or SAP Concur preferred
• At least one of the following preferred:
  • A two-year college degree
  • Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school
  • Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program
• Must be proficient with 10-key data entry
• Must be strongly detailed-oriented
