Responsibilities
Responsible for patient care/service and assigned duties under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
Desert View Hospital is a 25-bed, acute care hospital set in a rural community. Desert View provides safe and competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. We provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
Qualifications
Education/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- Completion of an approved/accredited A-EMT or Paramedic program
- Currently licensed as an A-EMT or Paramedic in the State of Nevada
- Successful completion of the cognitive and psychomotor exam for the National Registry of EMTs at an AEMT/Paramedic Level
- At least 1 year of experience in the field with at least 6 months in a hospital setting preferred
License/Certification
- Active Nevada Paramedic / AEMT
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- Completion of a PHTLS course within 6 months of date of hire.
Salary Range: $20.52 - $27.19/ hour
Other: Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
