Cardiac Progressive Care - Registered Nurse

Experience:

• 24 months of Cardiac Transitional Care Unit experience is required.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• 3 months of experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a New Mexico license or compact license in hand at the time of application.

• Candidates must live at least 75 miles away from this facility in order to be eligible to apply for this role.

• COVID vaccination required for onboarding. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for onboarding. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

36 guaranteed hours

SHIFTS: start time 1900 Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs. On call, weekends and holidays are required.

Time off requests must be disclosed with initial submission to be considered for approval. Time off requested after the acceptance date will not be approved

Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location and to all areas in which they are trained, including the ED and alternate holding areas to care for appropriate patients, including PresNow ED/UC (freestanding urgent/emergent care facilities)

2 years’ experience current required in an 18 plus bed telemetry/progressive care unit required

Travelers must have a permanent address outside of the 75 mile straight line radius of intended facility, not driving distance.

BLS and ACLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.

Traveler must provide proof of a current Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) or Dysrhythmia exam or will be tested during first week of assignment. Travelers that do not pass the BCA (basic cardiac arrhythmia) test will be dismissed.

Travelers must not have been an employee of the Presbyterian Healthcare Services system for 12 months from last day worked, in order to be considered for a travel position.

State tax is passed through to your agency and will be reflected on your invoice. The state tax should be paid to the state of New Mexico.

Ensure an accurate SS# and SOB is entered. If not, traveler may be pushed/agency suspened (creates I.T. onboarding issues).

SCRUBS: For RNs ONLY (does not apply to OR as those are provided) RNs may wear ANY solid color. The scrub top, pant, and jacket (if worn) must be the same solid color to match.
