About the Role:

As an Elementary/Middle School Spanish Teacher at Heritage Oak, you will play a crucial role in our students' linguistic and cultural education. You will provide dynamic language instruction that builds upon the fundamentals taught in earlier grades and introduces more complex concepts appropriate for older students. Our curriculum aims to cultivate not only language skills but also a deep appreciation for Spanish-speaking cultures.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective Spanish lessons that cater to a range of skill levels.
  • Foster an environment of curiosity, enthusiasm, and respect for Spanish-speaking cultures.
  • Collaborate with other faculty and staff to integrate Spanish language learning across academic disciplines.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians about students' progress.
  • Create and maintain a well-organized, vibrant classroom environment that encourages active learning and participation.

 

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Prior teaching experience in Spanish language instruction is highly preferred.
  • Certification in Spanish language teaching or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to pass both state and federal background checks.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage students, colleagues, and parents.
