Patient Account Specialist – Refund Specialist

MUST:
Highly skilled in reviewing EOB’s
Reviewing EOB’s for duplicate payments
Experience processing refunds to insurance companies
Experience cleaning up patient’s accounts and processing refunds
Experience working 50+ per day
Making determinations on refunds
Validating payments from insurance companies and ensuring there are no duplicates
Working with cash posting department to take out duplicate payments
Reviewing payments for refunds
Strong insurance follow up experience on electronic claims
CPT/ICD-10 coding knowledge

DUTIES:
The duties of the Patient Account Specialist-Refund Specialist include but are not limited to the following:
Resolve patient account issues
Review EOB’s for duplicate payments
Ensure that duplicate payments are taken out
Make determinations on refunds
Review EOB’s and ensure accurate CPT/ICD-10 coding
Handle insurance follow up on duplicate payments
