Job Description
Fluid-Quip in Springfield, OH is looking for a SHIPPING/RECEIVING clerk to join our team! Responsibilities of this role include:
- Packaging parts after retrieving from inventory and determining appropriate packaging methods
- Scheduling daily shipments through Fedex, UPS, and other freight carriers using online and local network-based shipping programs
- Preparing shipping documents and processing inventory transactions using Made2Manage business software and Microsoft Office products
- Prioritizing shipping needs based on required deadlines
- Scheduling flatbed trucks and ocean containers, and assisting drivers with loading requirements
- Building small crates and specialized shipping skids from new and reused packaging materials needed
- Estimating packing details and weights while logging it into the system for future shipments
- Assisting with receiving functions – Unloading / Unpacking of parts, verification of quantities, specifications, and completing necessary paperwork/inventory transactions for parts received
- May assist with performing light assembly work as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 18 years old with High School Diploma or GED
- Must pass physical, background check and drug test
- Be able to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of internal and external customers
- Able to read and understand manufacturing drawings
- Must be capable of climbing a ten-foot ladder and physically pulling parts
- Must be willing and able to operate a forklift
- This role is physical in nature requiring the ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift materials of all shapes, sizes, and weights with or without assistance in a warehouse environment
