Job Summary

The warehouse split shift supervisor oversees warehouse operations to maintain and control plant inventory and meet customer expectations. They also play a crucial role in forming and sustaining an efficient team that works together effectively to complete duties as assigned with no quality errors or defects.

Essential Job Functions

  • Serves as the Warehouse Managers right hand person to provides direct supervision of warehouse team members on second and third shifts. Shift hours are 7:00 pm to 3:30 am
  • Maintains a safe work environment and promote a culture of safety at all times
  • Works directly with Warehouse Manager to understand off shift work priorities and assigns work to all team members accordingly
  • Oversees shift activity to ensure hot part requests are managed timely while other tasks are completed timely and with accuracy
  • Establishes schedule for team members to cover required shift and warehouse off shift operations. This includes management of time off requests and unplanned absences
  • Approves weekly hours worked in the payroll system
  • Prepares and maintains documentation of processes and procedures (TIS and STS) for second and third shifts tasks and activities
  • Provides required training and records training provided. Ensures mandatory training is completed by established deadlines
  • Where appropriate, support basic warehouse functions including but not limited inspecting/receiving/putting away inbound material, picking/packing outbound shipments and cycle count activity
  • Attend weekly meetings or as required either via Teams or in person if required
  • Other tasks/duties as required

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations

  • Previous experience with Excel and inventory keeping systems

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years warehouse supervisory experience
  • Previous SAP experience a bonus
  • Knowledge of Excel
