Events Manager Position (Full-Time, not Remote)

Job Summary:
Manages & conducts all aspects of corporate team building events.
Event Manager Duties Include:
- Independently manage all aspects of team building events: work with clients to learn their business needs to create a custom team building event, manage all logistics associated with setting up the event, manage contract negotiation & execution, handle complex issues that arise during events, manage event vendor relationships, & travel logistics.
- Independently lead team building events providing inspirational & instructional presentations to teams of 25 - 100+ people, both in-person & virtually.
- Travel to team building event locations nationwide & in select Canadian markets.
- Prepare contracts, invoices, agendas, presentations & written communication used during team building events.
- Manage event vendor agreements, relationships & logistics.
- Work in sync with events professional vendors employed by our corporate clients, third-party event management companies & destination management companies.
- Other tasks as assigned from time to time.
Requirements of the Role:
- Strong events management experience & skills
- Ability to independently manage complex problems
- Ability to conduct events (including speaking on stage) in front of large groups of people (up to 100+ people) with confidence & ease
- Ability to travel (requires overnight travel that varies from month to month, usually 2-3 times per month for 1-2 nights each)
- Enjoys collaborating with others
- Excellent written, oral & presentation communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, G Suite, Zoom, Microsoft Teams
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to grow with a company that makes a positive impact
- Ability to move 50 lb. boxes during team building events
Additional Areas of Interest:
- Experience with CRM marketing systems
- Experience with inventory management systems
- Video production experience
- Website maintenance & experience with WordPress
- Blog writing experience
Education: 4-year degree

When not traveling for events, this job is to be performed in our office in Birmingham (Chelsea), AL. Please note that this is not a remote position.
