Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Collaborate with a team to execute electrical tasks.
- Construct, set up, test, and manage electrical and electronic systems, including wiring, controls, appliances, fixtures, lighting, audio/visual, and low-voltage systems.
- Interpret and work from technical documents such as blueprints, drawings, schematics, and technical data.
- Design and install wireways and raceways across various boat sections, including overheads, bulkheads, and walls.
- Thread cables and wires through wireways and raceways.
- Diagnose, repair, and replace malfunctioning or damaged components.
- Set up temporary power and lighting for work zones.
- Support vendors and subcontractors with their electrical requirements.
- Conduct tasks within the cabinet shop, at heights, in confined spaces, and on vessels.
- Safely operate a range of equipment and tools, including hand, power, and air tools, multimeters, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
- Uphold a tidy, safe, and organized workspace, ensuring proper storage of tools, materials, and hazardous chemicals.
- Undertake additional tasks as directed.
Qualifications:
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, typically 8+ hours daily.
- Proficiency in using stairs, ramps, ladders, and stools regularly.
- Capability to lift and transport objects weighing up to 50 lbs routinely.
- Experience with overhead tasks for prolonged periods.
- Willingness to bend, kneel, and crawl as needed.
- Adequate strength for repetitive arm and hand movements, including handling and grasping.
- Flexibility to reach below knee level, knee to shoulder height, and above shoulder level regularly.
- Compliance with safety protocols by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, including respiratory gear, safety goggles, rubber gloves, coveralls, hearing protection, and fall protection.
- Clear vision, with or without corrective lenses.
- Ability to hear and recognize alarms effectively.
