Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Science or Management Discipline. .
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a lead role with responsibility over the Quality function.
- Front line floor management experience in a manufacturing facility.
- 5+ years of experience in a “Metals Machining Environment”
- Ability to understand Quality Management System(QMS) requirements as it relates to company standards (AS9100, IATF 16949, and ISO 13485)
- Experience with automated Management Systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Expert knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) ASME Y14.5M
- Basic knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
- Knowledge of Solidworks or similar CAD software systems a plus
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, coach, recruit and lead quality team to ensure compliance with all company standards and programs as written.
- Develop and Implement plant policies and procedures.
- Ensure all colleagues are properly trained by developing and/or presenting training materials.
- Monitor and Audit ECR / ECO / ECN process.
- Promote colleague engagement towards continuous improvement in a self-directed team environment.
- Utilize Lean six sigma principles (DMAIC) to analyze and eliminate reoccurring manufacturing and quality control issues.
- Investigate to completion non-conformity, assure root cause analysis and review.
- Responsible for implementing solutions to correct issues and provide follow-up and documentation.
- Generate NCR’s on discrepant material/parts and insure that nonconforming product is segregated to the MRB cage. Ensure NCR’s are forwarded to MRB members in a timely manner
- Active in the production areas daily performing various duties.
- Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time while performing job duties.
