We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Forensic Electrical Engineer for our client in the Columbus area. As a Forensic Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in investigating and analyzing electrical systems, offering expertise in identifying the root causes of failures, accidents, or malfunctions. This position requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, and candidates must hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Ohio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical System Analysis: Conduct detailed investigations into electrical systems, equipment, and components to determine the cause of failures or malfunctions. Apply your extensive knowledge of electrical engineering to assess the condition of systems and provide comprehensive reports.
- Forensic Investigation: Utilize forensic engineering techniques to examine the circumstances surrounding electrical incidents. This may involve analyzing electrical components, reviewing maintenance records, and interviewing relevant parties to reconstruct events accurately.
- Collaboration: Work closely with insurance professionals, legal teams, and other engineering disciplines to communicate your findings effectively. Collaborate with experts in related fields to ensure a comprehensive understanding of complex incidents.
- Client Consultation: Provide expert advice to clients on electrical system maintenance, compliance with safety standards, and recommended improvements. Communicate complex technical information in a clear and understandable manner.
- PE License Requirement: Possess and maintain a Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Florida, demonstrating your commitment to the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with extensive knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
- Previous experience in forensic electrical engineering or a related field.
- Minimum bachelor's degree, Master's preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, legal professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Ohio.
