Job Title: CNC Programmer and Machinist (Direct Hire)

Job Type: Full Time / Permanent / Direct Hire

Location: Rochester, NY

Shift: A shift

Pay: Starting at $24/hour DOE**

Essential job duties for this role will include:

• Interfacing with Engineering, Quality Control and Production on all mold and tooling requirements.
• Reviews 3D CAD design blueprints
• Ability to interpret GD&T – Geometric dimensions and tolerancing
• Perform and create mill set ups
• Prepares geometric layout of designs using proper software
• Writes programs and modifies existing ones for increased efficiency
• Plan stock & tooling for running / future work orders
• Proficient in Mastercam
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
• Fabricate required tooling and fixtures
• Perform duties with minimum supervision
• Perform preventative maintenance activities
• Follow all prescribed maintenance activities
• Follow all prescribed internal tooling procedures
• Fixture design
• Maintains a clean work environment
• Participate in team problem solving activities
• Responsible for following all ISO procedures
• Communicate effectively with vendors

We're looking for a CNC Programmer and Machinist with the following background profile/skillset:

• Qualified Machinist with 2-5 years experience
• Strong math and computer capability
• Detail oriented and able to communicate effectively
• Able to read 2-D and 3-D designs
• General knowledge on how to operate 3-D software
• 3 years Mastercam experience
• Experience using Solidworks
