Interstate Advanced Materials is hiring for a full-time CNC Operator in our Portland, OR office. (Day or Swing)

Day shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm (Monday-Friday)
Swing shift offers an 8% shift differential: 2:15pm – 12:45am (Monday-Thursday)
Summary:

We are looking for a CNC Operator to join our team-oriented company. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts to meet the needs of our customers. We value internal promotions and believe in promoting from within whenever possible. As you gain experience and develop new skills, you will have the opportunity to move up to more senior positions within the company.

Responsibilities: 
  • Set up and operate CNC machines to produce parts and components as per customer requirements and specifications.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Monitor machine operation to ensure quality and accuracy of components produced.
  • Inspect parts to ensure they meet the required specifications.
  • Label and box parts per product family.
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment.
  • Other duties as required.
 
Qualifications: 
  • High school diploma or equivalent. College level technical training a plus.
  • Proven experience as a CNC Operator or a similar role.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience in using measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
