Position Summary

Primary lender for the branch location. Approve or deny loan applications for consumers and businesses. Act as a liaison between customers and Legacy Bank and help qualified applicants acquire loans in a timely manner.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provides high level, consistent services to our clients while creating a relationship based on sales and service culture at the branch ensuring the client relationship is always developed.
  • Assists Senior Management when necessary to complete assigned projects and goals associated with member services.
  • Ensures the branch is in compliance with all regulations relating to lending.
  • Becomes subject matter expert in all branch software and branch equipment.
  • Enhances and updates all branch procedures.
  • Works to build a perfect client experience at their location.
  • Is an effective communicator with area businesses, employers, students and represents Legacy Bank and necessary functions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or similar field preferred. (Candidates with degree in-process will also be considered.
  • Two to Five years or similar or related experience (Prior lending or loan processing experience preferred).
  • Interpersonal Skills - The ability to motivate or influence others through team building is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of integrity, diplomacy, and trust.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong listening skills- must be able to listen and comprehend clients' inquiries or concerns to provide a valuable solution.
  • Strong communication skills - verbal and written. Must be comfortable speaking in public and making presentations in a professional manner to a variety of groups on behalf of the Bank.
  • Teamwork- able to contribute to building a positive team spirit and culture.
  • Quick learner, detail oriented and effective at managing and prioritizing multiple tasks.
  • Sales Management experience in a financial institution, retail, or service industry.
  • Maintain confidentiality and tact with clients and coworkers' information.
