Summary:

The Service Writer is responsible for serving as the liaison between customers and the service department. They are responsible for greeting customers, understanding their needs, and writing up repair orders. They also provide customers with updates on the status of their repairs and answer any questions they may have.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and listen to their concerns
• Diagnose and assess customer needs
• Write up repair orders and provide estimates
• Communicate with technicians and keep customers updated on the status of their repairs
• Process payments and finalize customer transactions
• Maintain customer records

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of experience in a customer service role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of automotive repair

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a service writer role
• Knowledge of automotive service software
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
