Duties:

  • The position handles all prevailing wage and Davis Bacon requirements for California and all administrative responsibilities for multiple prevailing wage / public work construction projects.
  • Process weekly prevailing wage payroll in DIR portal and other online tracking platforms to ensure compliancy.
  • Keep accurate calculations of prevailing wage rates.
  • Provide complete and accurate DIR reporting.
  • Assist and communicate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Subcontractors in complying with various prevailing wage contract requirements.
  • Review and track subcontractors certified payroll and labor records.
  • Partner and communicate with payroll personnel for allocation of correct rates, fringes, reporting classifications and holiday schedules.
  • Prepare and track prevailing wage certified payroll reports.
  • Attend pre-construction meetings for compliancy.
  • Operate multiple accounting software systems to record, store and analyze information.
  • Perform administrative and accounting support tasks.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Prevailing wage/ Public work compliance (Certified payroll, DAS 140/142, LCP Tracker, Elations, DIR) and reporting of hours.
  • Minimum three (3) years payroll processing and general accounting experience; construction accounting experience a plus.
  • Must have administrative experience.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Communicate with all levels of employees with tact and professionalism.
  • Must possess at least an intermediate Excel skill level.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and has excellent communication skills.
  • Articulate phone skills and ability to adapt to different personality types.

CONSTRUCTION WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time Construction Payroll Compliance Administrator position works 40+ hours per week, usually working an early schedule depending on the individual project.
