Job Description

The Social Work Department of Capital University invites applications for tenure-track, Assistant Professor position. This position is a full-time appointment within Social Work with an anticipated start date August of 2024.


A Ph.D. in Social Work or Social Welfare with an MSW from a CSWE accredited program is preferred. Special consideration will be given to candidates with some experience in using innovative instructional technologies, distance, hybrid education, and curriculum development at the Master of Social Work level. Candidates should have experience practicing in a macro setting, strong graduate teaching skills, and be committed to course development, scholarship, symposia presentations, and university/community service. Advanced credential/licensing or eligibility, in Social Work, is strongly preferred.
