Job Summary

The Pipeline Valve Technician performs maintenance, assessment, repair, and testing on various types of industrial valves, electric/pneumatic and hydraulic actuators.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance on a variety of Gate, Plug, Ball valves including M&J, WKM, Grove, Cameron in the field or in shop.
• Perform complete overhaul and testing actuators including EIM, Limitorque, Bettis, Shafer.
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
• Prior valve experience and electrical actuation experience (low and high voltage)
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Ability to use Microsoft word, excel and outlook to generate service reports and communicate within the company.
• Demonstrate the ability to bend and fit tubing.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends and travel overnight as required.
• Travel is 50%-60% of job requirement.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Lifting of valve or actuator parts up to 50 lbs.
• Climbing stairs and ladders.
• Carrying equipment up and down flights of stairs.
• Continually required to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and climb.
• Continually required to use hands and fingers and reach with arms.
• Maybe exposed to fumes and airborne particles.
