Physician Billing Office Representative

Harrison County Hospital is seeking to hire an experienced Physician Office Billing Representative.

STATUS: Full-time, Days, 40 hrs/wk

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of high school diploma
• Experience preferred

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works with office to obtain or give information.
• Follow up on previously billed accounts.
• Inputs daily mail comments into system on appropriate accounts.
• Responds to patient inquiries promptly and courteously.
• Enter charges for non office visits.
• Displays knowledge of the A4 system.
• Is aware and follow HIPAA rules.
• Receives and answers correspondence concerning refunds.
• Receives and answers correspondence concerning processing.
• Works as a team member.
• Thoroughly document accounts in system when account is referenced for any resaon.
• Maintains organized and neat workspace.
• Ability to communicate with understanding and politeness with patients.
• Adheres to hospital corporate compliance regulations.
• Maintains proper procedures for fire, disaster drills, etc.
• Deliver quality service and customer satisfaction.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
