What You'll Do:

  • Safe and Efficient Operation: Safely operate heavy equipment to remove scrap metal from various locations.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on the equipment you are using and report any issues promptly to the maintenance department.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and DOT regulations.
  • Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork required for the delivery and receipt of scrap metal materials.
  • Customer Interaction: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers and clients.
  • Environmental Responsibility: Handle scrap metal materials in an environmentally responsible manner, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, front-end loaders, skid-loaders, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Valid CDL (Class A) with a clean driving record with a minimum of 5 years of commercial driving experience would be helpful, but not required
