Senior Helpers, the fastest growing non-medical home care provider, is expanding in the Buffalo area, and seeking an Office Coordinator (part-time). We are in need of a sharp, professional, detail-oriented, high-energy individual. This person will assist with day to day office activities such as staff recruitment, customer service, scheduling, and documentation. Must have a minimum of two years of related work experience in small to medium size business or previously self-employed. Must be solutions oriented, and able to effectively prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Schedule and coordinate caregiver staff based on assessment and care plan information for new and existing clients.
  • Coordinate recruitment/interview/orientation processes for caregivers.
  • Ensures background and reference checks are completed for new caregivers.
  • Assists with unemployment and workers’ compensation claims and follow-up process.
  • Assists office staff with answering telephone calls, providing information to potential clients, problem solving for current clients.
  • Properly coordinates and inputs key metrics into software systems.
  • Maintain necessary records related to long term care insurance, veteran’s programs, etc.
  • Creates and sends welcome packets for new clients and caregivers.
  • Ensure caregiver timesheets are accurately completed in a timely manner

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and two years of related work experience strongly preferred.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional and verifiable customer service skills and experience.
  • Proactive problem prevention and issue resolution ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet required.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, especially using the telephone.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sound decision-making skills based upon company policies and philosophy.
