Job Description

Assists with the coating and/or laminating of material that meets coating run order requirements. Performs daily assignments and tasks in Coating department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities included below. Other duties may be assigned.

Helps Level 2 and 3 Coating Operators set up and prepare material for processing.

Places roll of material onto feed spindle of machine.

Threads end through feed and guides material into coating head or and through drying oven and attaches it to rewind spindle.

Fills coating head with coating solution.

Monitors and adjusts coating line.

Reports any non-conformities as material is processed.

Performs basic machine maintenance and PM's.

Cleans work areas.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills and the ability to learn inventory control software.
