Night Operator

Our client in Florence is looking for a Smelter Operator on night shift. If you like physcial labor, this is a good fit for you. Qualified candidates must have a good work history and previous manufacturing experience. Please apply today for consideration.

SHIFT(S): 12 hour rotating 2-2-3 schedule, but more like 3-3-4
Night Shift, 7:30 pm - 8:00 am
Start on days, then move to night shift; hours will be 7:30 AM - 8 PM, usually for a week of training, possibly two.

Pay: $24/hour during training on days, $25/hour once you move to nights.

Company benefits start day 1 of month after conversion date.

SAMPLE DUTIES:

• Weigh, measure and mix raw materials.
• Dispense raw materials into smelter tank using elevated platform, overhead crane, and crank release (looks like a giant flower sifter).
• Process, weigh, and sample finished product (prior batch, not the one just mixed).
• Update production logs.
• Check smelter tank readings, update logs, add additional raw materials when tank readings indicate appropriate levels, update logs again.
• Run quality check (on prior batch) by mixing sample with appropriate solution(s), bake on glass plate, performing “run” test, record results in quality log.
• AGAIN, Check smelter tank readings, update logs, add additional raw materials when tank readings indicate appropriate levels, update logs again.
• Empty finished product.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience performing production work in a manufacturing environment (FOUNDRY LIKE)
• Superior multitasking abilities.
• The ability to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted.
• MUST have a good attendance record and work ethic.
• Experience performing physically challenging work in a hot & dirty manufacturing environment.
• The ability to learn and retain information.
• Team Player Attitude.

DRESS CODE: All clothing must be 100% cotton, Steel toed boots/shoes.
