ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Communicate in a polite, prompt and helpful manner via phone & face-to-face opportunities.
  • Effectively decipher, review, and relay insurance processing outcomes.
  • Research, validate, and input demographics information & other aspects of the account.
  • Provide education while maintaining healthy financial relationships.
  • Must maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Initiate and monitor payment plans.
  • Process payments via phone.
  • Promote open communication with clinical staff supporting financial policies and processes.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

PHYSICIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Job requires largely sedentary role requiring one’s ability to sit for extended period.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
