Assistant Professor of Engineering & Technology

Position Summary

The Department of Science, Technology, and Mathematics at Lincoln University (Jefferson City, MO) is seeking applicants for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track appointment beginning August 2023. Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in Drafting Technology and Civil Engineering Technology in support of three-degree programs, including Pre-Engineering.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

Teaching undergraduate courses in Drafting Technology and Civil Engineering Technology.
Creatively envision and articulate how they will add value to the program.
Advise and mentor students.
Serve on departmental and institutional committees.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Drafting and modeling software, such as AutoCAD, Revit and Civil 3D is required.
Post-doctoral experience and prior teaching experience is preferred.
Ability to work with a diverse student and faculty body.

Education and Experience

Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related area is required. Ph.D. is preferred.
Ability to work with a diverse faculty and student body.
Commitment to student success is critical.
Prior teaching experience preferred.
Professional licensure preferred.
