Blue Nest Home in Bremerton, WA is looking for a part-time and full-time Estate Sale Organizer and Cleaner to join our team. We provide move management, online estate sales, and consignment services to clients in Kitsap County and surrounding areas. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and enjoys working within a team. Available shifts are Monday-Friday, 9am - 4pm. Applicant must be able to work a minimum of two Wednesdays per month, Noon - 8 pm.

  • Role within the company: This position reports directly to the Operations Manager. As a member of the online estate sale team, this person will sort/organize, catalog, and photograph home inventory for estate sales. They are also responsible for cleaning the client's home after the estate sale is complete. The home must be cleaned within provided timeline and to the specifications of each client agreement. Attention to detail is a must. 

Responsibilities include (not all-inclusive):

  • Work on a team to sort, catalog, and photograph home inventory for estate sales.
  • Pack and unpack client belongings.
  • Care for and manage company equipment.
  • Engage in company meetings.
  • Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing.
  • Ensure all areas/rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards.
  • Notify the manager of any damages, deficits, and disturbances.
  • Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.
  • Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices
  • Assist with auction buyer pick-up days as needed.
  • Other related tasks as requested by the client or manager.

Requirements and skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Have a smartphone and be comfortable using and learning new apps.
  • Must haves reliable car and valid drivers license.
  • A natural instinct to organize or improve upon current systems.
  • Have a strong interest in antiques, vintage items, second-use, and resale inventory.
  • Empathy for those who have physical and mental health challenges.
  • Capable of handling a multitude of situations.
  • Communicate clearly, tactfully, and effectively.
  • Proven experience as a Cleaner or Housekeeper
  • Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
  • Customer-oriented and friendly
  • Prioritization and time management skills
  • Working quickly without compromising quality
  • Speak the English language
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Pass a background check and drug screen.

Hours

  • Monday-Friday, 9am - 4pm. Aapplicant must be able to work a minimum of two Wednesdays per month, Noon - 8 pm.

Employee Benefits

  •  Paid Time Off: 2 Hours of paid leave for every 40 hours worked = up to 104 hours of paid leave per year.
  • Yearly office closure between Dec 24 – January 1.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $20.00 - $22.00/hour.
