Banquet Houseperson

Job Summary:

The Banquet Houseperson at The Verve Hotel - Boston Natick is a critical member of our hospitality team. This individual contributor role is responsible for setting up and breaking down banquet events, as well as assisting in the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the banquet space. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong commitment to providing exceptional service to our guests. This is a full-time, hourly position located in Natick, Massachusetts.

Compensation & Benefits:

The Banquet Houseperson will receive a competitive hourly rate of $17.50, paid biweekly. Responsibilities:

- Set up and break down banquet event space according to event orders and diagrams
- Arrange tables, chairs, linens, and other event equipment in an organized and aesthetically pleasing manner
- Monitor and replenish supplies in the banquet space, such as water pitchers, glasses, and silverware
- Assist banquet servers in the timely and efficient service of food and beverage to guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet storage areas, including polishing silverware and folding linens
- Work closely with the Banquet Manager to ensure the success of each event and promptly address any guest concerns or requests
- Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Attend and participate in all required meetings and training sessions

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in banquet or event set-up preferred
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
