Hocking Valley Community Hospital (HVCH) is currently seeking a Unit Secretary to join our friendly, hard-working team.

• Outpatient Specialty Clinic, Full Time, Days, M-F, No Holidays or Weekends
• 7am - 3:30pm
• Pay is $15.00/hr+ based on service

HVCH is a 25-bed critical access hospital (CAH) with a full-service Emergency Department, Urgent Care, and Surgical Services, as well as many Outpatient Clinics and Services, as well as a Rural Health Clinic providing Family and Pediatric care services. In the fall of 2023, we partnered with the Logan-Hocking School District, Nationwide Children's Hospital, Hopewell Health and others to build and open the Chieftain School Based Health Clinic to provide greater care to the students in our community. We have over 350 employees who serve the residents and visitors of rural Logan, Ohio. We are nestled in the heart of the beautiful Hocking Hills Region in southeastern Ohio. We are affiliated with OSU Wexner Medical Center and part of the Ohio State Health Network.

Our Desired Candidate Will Have

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• 2 years of medical office experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with prior auths preferred.
• The ability to remain calm and patient while providing excellent customer service.
• Superior phone etiquette and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills; previous experience with EHR preferred (knowledge of Epic is a plus).
