Job Summary:
Bambini Montessori Academy in Ellicott City is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Preschool Lead Teacher to join our team. This is a full-time, individual contributor role based in Gambrills, Maryland. As the Preschool Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children aged 3-5 years old. You will be expected to follow the Montessori philosophy and methods, while also integrating your own creativity and passion for early childhood education.

Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position is $17 to $22 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum following the Montessori philosophy for children aged 3-5 years old
- Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that fosters growth and learning
- Observe and assess each child's development and adjust curriculum accordingly
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and any concerns that may arise
- Collaborate with assistant teachers and other staff members to plan and execute activities and lessons
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment
- Manage and maintain classroom materials and supplies
- Attend staff meetings and professional development workshops as required

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field - 90 h certifications 
- Montessori certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a lead teacher in a preschool setting
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the Montessori philosophy and methods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in creating and implementing engaging lesson plans
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Must pass a background check and comply with all state and local regulations for working with young children
