Security Officer II

Miami Valley Gaming is looking to hire a Security Officer 2 to help our Security team deliver the exceptional guest experience we're known for. If you are a dynamic, dependable, observant and guest-focused individual, we would be lucky to have you join our Security team in this position!

This position starts at $15.00 - $16.50/hour with the potential to earn an additional $1.25 in the first year plus time and a half pay for select holidays and high-volume business days. EARN YOUR CERTIFIED PROTECTION OFFICER CERTIFICATE

We have partnered with the International Foundation of Protection Officers to give you the opportunity to become a Certified Protection Officer (CPO). This internationally recognized certification is highly sought after by some of the top companies in the country. This training is provided at NO cost to you while employed with us. While working thru the program you will be eligible to earn regular raises totaling up to an additional $1.25 / hour in your first year.

THE SECURITY OFFICER WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• You are a can-do person who likes to keep busy and doesn't mind to jump in and help with other tasks whenever needed.
• You're happy that you're not stuck in a cubicle all day!
• You are conscientious about adhering to all service, health, safety, and personal hygiene standards.
• While you're self-motivated and able to work independently, you are a people person and also enjoy the camaraderie that's inherent in a tight-knit team.
• You are happy to take advantage of our excellent training and are considering advancing in a hospitality or entertainment career. But whatever the future holds, for now, you enjoy working in a fun and friendly environment where you are never bored and time goes by quickly.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SECURITY OFFICER II

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum of a at least 6 months of Security experience in the last 5 years or 2 year degree in any Criminal Justice field
• Must possess a positive and friendly attitude
• Guest Service background is helpful
• Ability to obtain a valid Ohio Lottery Commission gaming license and a Ohio Casino Control Commission Sports Betting license (completed on site)
