Keeping It Safe Housing is looking for full time Behavioral Health Technicians to join our Housing Division, as we expand the continuum of care during recovery.

*M-F 330pm-12am*

The purpose of this position is to assist in providing a safe environment for individuals while residents are in KISH Housing. The BHT assists in the intake process, transportation needs, answers resident questions, and assists residents in adjusting to their routine. The BHT is responsible for supervising residents in KISH Housing with emphasis on resident safety and wellbeing. Supervised by the Director of Housing and BHT Lead.

Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or GED is strongly preferred.
  • Preferred 1+ years of experience in the Behavioral Health Industry

Responsibilities:

  • THE NUMBER ONE RESPONSIBILITY IS TO KEEP RESIDENTS SAFE AT ALL TIMES!
    2. Observe and report Resident behaviors to the Director of Housing.
    3. Establish and maintain healthy relationships with the residents.
    4. Redirect residents as needed, under the supervisor's direction, NEVER DISCIPLINE.
    5. Assist with the admission process on new resident admissions and orientation procedures and schedules.
    6. Ensure staff is aware that a resident admitted and was signed in VIA admit alert emails. Maintain constant and
    clear communication during a resident admit.
    7. Complete a timely and accurate shift report at the end of each shift.
    8. Transport residents as needed, including, but not limited to, outside meetings, appointments, shopping,
    outings, and to and from treatment.
    9. Conduct searches of residents' belongings and properties at any time during the residents' treatment episode.
    10. Facilitate all orientation groups or meetings with residents.
    11. De-escalate and assist with residents unsuccessfully leaving housing and other resident problems.
    12. Know how many residents are on property.
    13. Supervision of UAs and BAC
    14. Ensure shift checklists are complete prior to shift ending.
    15. Keep all properties and office spaces cleaned. During downtime, ensure the general areas are free of objects
    and clutter.
    16. Ensure all properties are maintain and cleaned at all times.
    17. Assist Executive Staff if tasks are delegated.
    18. Participate in all staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
    19. Always maintain professional demeanor.
