Engineering Draftsman - Muskogee, OK

Our client is manufacturing company headquartered in Muskogee, Oklahoma is seeking an entry level mechanical CAD design drafter to join our team. The company distributes valve products for the oil & gas industry. A successful candidate for this position will be responsible for the development of engineering drawings of mechanical components, including an understanding of BOMs, specifications and solid modeling. The successful candidate will also be able to utilize design software to create 2D and 3D drawings according to company standards.

Responsibilities

• Generate detailed 3D models using CAD software (Solidworks™)
• Generate new part models with appropriate manufacturing drawings to include Bills of Materials
• Generate manufacturing drawings from existing models using Solidworks™ CAD software.
• Evaluate layouts and drawings to detect errors.
• Generate detailed layouts of assemblies using interface control drawings.
• Review and Maintain Engineering Revisions thru design control processes.

Required / Preferred Education, Experience & Skills

• Minimum of an associate degree or equivalent in Engineering Drafting and Design, Mechanical Design, or other applicable degree path. May be waived with two years industry experience.
• Solidworks™ Experience preferred.
• Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite
