As a Sales Consultant at the Daniel Fraser District Office, you will be an integral part of our sales team, responsible for prospecting, acquiring, and retaining business clients for Farmers Insurance products and services. You will play a key role in driving revenue growth, building lasting relationships with clients, and promoting the value of insurance solutions to meet their unique needs.

Responsibilities
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation:

Identify and target potential business clients within designated industries and geographic regions.

Utilize various channels such as cold calling, networking events, referrals, and digital marketing strategies to generate leads.

Research and analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and client needs to develop targeted prospecting strategies.

  • Needs Assessment and Consultative Selling:

Engage with prospective clients to understand their business operations, industry-specific risks, and insurance needs.

Conduct thorough assessments of clients' existing insurance coverage and risk management strategies.

Provide expert guidance and recommendations on appropriate insurance products and coverage options to address clients' specific needs and mitigate risks effectively.

  • Proposal Development and Presentation:

Collaborate with underwriters and insurance carriers to develop customized insurance proposals tailored to meet clients' requirements.

Prepare comprehensive presentations and proposals outlining coverage options, policy features, and pricing structures.

Clearly articulate the value proposition of proposed insurance solutions and address any client questions or concerns.

  • Relationship Management and Client Engagement:

Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients through regular communication and personalized service.

Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing ongoing support, guidance, and assistance with insurance-related inquiries and claims.

Conduct periodic policy reviews and assessments to ensure clients' insurance needs are met and recommend adjustments or enhancements as necessary.

  • Negotiation and Closing:

Negotiate terms and pricing with clients and insurance carriers to secure the most favorable insurance coverage and terms.

Overcome objections and address client concerns to facilitate successful deal closures.

Ensure all necessary documentation and paperwork are completed accurately and efficiently to finalize insurance transactions.

  • Pipeline Management and Reporting:

Maintain a well-organized pipeline of prospective clients and active opportunities within the CRM system or designated database.

Track sales activities, lead progression, and deal statuses to prioritize efforts and optimize sales performance.

Generate regular reports and analyses to assess sales effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and track progress towards sales targets.

  • Continuous Learning and Professional Development:

Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and new insurance products and services.

Participate in training sessions, workshops, and industry events to enhance product knowledge, sales skills, and market insights.

Seek opportunities for professional certifications and credentials relevant to the insurance industry to further develop expertise and credibility.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate closely with internal teams, including underwriting, claims, and customer service, to ensure seamless delivery of insurance solutions and exceptional client experiences.

Partner with marketing and business development teams to develop targeted marketing campaigns, promotional materials, and sales collateral to support business insurance sales initiatives.


Requirements
  • Proven track record of success in B2B sales, particularly in the insurance industry.
  • Strong understanding of various types of business insurance products, including property, liability, workers' compensation, and commercial auto.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Relevant insurance licenses and certifications (e.g., Property and Casualty Insurance License) a plus.
